Dandruff
8
Dandruff is a skin problem that affects the scalp and presents as visibly large, dry, white/grey, flaking scales. Some people may even experience intense itching on their scalp. Dandruff occurs in approximately 1% to 3% of the population that may start as early as the onset of puberty and continue into adulthood. While having dandruff is not a life-threatening health condition, it can be quite distressing and embarrassing. Fortunately, mild to moderate cases of dandruff can be controlled with regular washing of the hair using either regular shampoo or medicated shampoo.
