- Pink eye due to exposure to an allergen may go away on its own if the allergen is removed. To relieve symptoms associated with allergic conjunctivitis, you can apply cool compresses (clean face towels soaked in cool water) to the eyes, use artificial tear drops, or use allergy eye drops (including Antihistamines, Decongestants, and Mast cell stabilizers).
If your symptoms do not go away even after treatment, you should go see your doctor as soon as possible to get a proper diagnosis and treatment.
