Tip 1: Just 30 minutes a day of physical activity is enough to reap health benefits. One of the simplest activities? Regular, brisk walks.
Tip 2: Drink just one less can of regular soda per day to reduce both the top and bottom numbers of your blood pressure.
Tip 3: Go fish. People who eat fish two to four times per week are 20 percent less likely to die of heart disease and six percent less likely to have a stroke compared with those who eat seafood less than once weekly.
Tip 4: Buy a reflective headband, vest and other items if you exercise outdoors in the early morning or evening. Reflective gear makes you more visible to motorists.
Tip 5: Schedule a baseline eye exam at age 40. At that age, the signs of disease and vision changes may start to occur.
