Your pharmacist is a highly trained professional who can, along with your doctor and other members of your healthcare team, work with you to help manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, or asthma.
Your pharmacist will help ensure that you are receiving the proper medication for your condition and that you know how to use it. He or she can work with you to make sure you understand how to use items such as diabetes testing materials, home blood-pressure measuring devices or inhalers for asthma.
If you have a chronic condition, talk with your pharmacist about the medications ou are taking and how you manage your health at home. Feel free to ask questions if you don't understand your medication or other parts of your treatment plan.
